Low-carbon materials in construction
Production: eOppiva, Granlund Ltd. and Ministry of the Environment of Finland
Course description
Reducing greenhouse gas emissions from materials used in construction is one of the most effective ways of reducing emissions during the building’s life cycle, along with reducing energy consumption. But what does this mean in practice?
In this training session, we learn when and why material-related emissions occur and explore how to reduce these so-called embodied emissions. In addition, we look at how to interpret EPD information and use it to select the material with the lowest emissions.
